ASBA History

ASBA is a non-profit association which was started in 1992 in Madrid by a small group of Australian and Spanish business people in the spirit of promoting bilateral collaboration and trade between the two countries. These people wanted to provide a forum to meet together on a regular basis, to get to know each other’s activities and to discuss topics and issues of mutual interest.

It was formally set up as an independent association in 1994.

ASBA has expanded into Barcelona and Galicia and has 60+ members comprising companies, business professionals, government personnel and other individuals who are interested and/or involved in a variety of business, cultural, and educational activities between Australia and Spain
