Agreement Spain NZ re Working Holidays |

The New Zealand and Spanish Governments have recently signed an Agreement to promote the interchange of young people between the two countries. This Agreement will enable a maximum of 200 Spaniards, aged between 18 and 30, to visit New Zealand for a period of 12 months and be able to work there during a maximum of 6 months during their stay. The Agreement provides for an equal number of Visas for young New Zealanders to visit and work in Spain under the same conditions. For further information please contact the New Zealand Embassy in Madrid or the Spanish Embassy in Wellington. The scheme has been an immedaite success in Spain with the 200 positions having been filled up within 48 hours of the scheme's announcement. |

The Meeting was presided by outgoing President Greg Stevens and Honoray President Australia's new Ambassador to Spain, Ms Zórica Mc Carthy. The full ASBA Board, with the exception of Andrew de Ville, ASBA's E Communications Director who was unable to attend due to other commitments, was present. Representatives from the New Zealand Embassy, Austrade, NZ Trade & Enterprise, and various Members were also in attendance. |
